Book Fair!

It's that time of year! Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will start February 26 to March 2 at Kanoelani's Library. The Book Fair will be opened from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, it will be opened from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Don't forget to check out our online Book Fair. It will be opened from February 26 to March 9. Our online Book Fair will have more books available to purchase!

Kindergarten Registration Requirements

Kanoelani will be accepting Kindergarten registration at the front office between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please click on the PDF to read in detail all necessary items to complete your child's registration. For further help/information, please call our front office at (808) 307-3800.

Effective March 1st - CASH ONLY

Starting March 1st, we will only be accepting CASH only for lunch payments, field trips, and school payments until the end of the school year.

Community Connections Breakfast

Kanoelani Elementary School is the only school in Waipio Gentry. We are part of the Pearl City complex as the largest elementary school with almost 800 students in grades K-6. Our Principal, Stacie Kunihisa, wants to create partnerships with our school and our community businesses. Come visit us at our Community Connections Breakfast on March 1st to learn more!

SEL Week February 7-14, 2018

To promote school pride and our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) program, we will be celebrating SEL Week February 7th-14th, 2018 along with other schools nationwide that adopted the Choose Love program. We ask that students participate to show their school pride and pledge to Choose Love by wearing colors that represent the four themes.

Read-to-Me Family Night

Mark your calendars for our annual read-to-me family night at Kanoelani Elementary Cafeteria from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Please RSVP by Friday, February 16th. We will have refreshments and a raffle drawing!

This year we have the honor to have author and illustrator, Tammy Yee. She has written books such as, "Iki, the Littlest Opihi," "Easy Bird Origami," and "Baby Honu Saves the Day." She will read one of her local stories to us.

Don't forget to come a little early because our Bookfair will be opened from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in the Library. Can't wait to see you there!

Hawaii Department of Education, School Food Services Branch is beginning to transition from PrimeroEdge (schoolcafe) system to Harris School Solution eTrition starting January 22, 2018. Please see attached file for more information.

Check out our first all student-written newsletter! 5 students in grades 5 and 6 created the Kanoelani Chronicle lead by Mrs. Hubbard. They will be writing articles on what is happening on campus to what is happening around the world. Check out their first issue!
