We are honored to have a special guest author from the Big Island, David Kawika Eyre who will join us at our PTSA Family Reading Night. He is a former teacher at Kamehameha Schools and searched into historical sources including Hawaiian language newspapers to produce books unique for our students to read. The details about the life Kamehameha I are revealed in a moving narrative filled with stories that our students can understand and enjoy. Please join us as he will be reading excerpts from his books.
Along with Kawika Eyre, we will also have a presentation from 5th Grade and a performance by Kanoelani Taiko. Please come to the cafeteria at 6pm.
The Book Fair will be opened from 4:30-5:45pm if you want to purchase books before our PTSA Family Reading Night.
Funds raised in our Book Fair go to support our classroom libraries and online resources. Your child has been given a blue sheet titled "Kanoelani Library Resources" which provides step-by-step instruction for using our resources. One of our most popular e-book collections, BookFlix, comes directly through funds from our Book Fair. Click here to access our Library link where you can find more of our Kanoelani Library Resources.
The Book Fair will last until Friday, February 26th.
