Good evening Kanoelani families and this is Lisa Tominaga, Vice Principal. Reminder tomorrow November 3rd is Election Day and there is no school. I have three important messages for you.
First message is Parent Teacher conferences happening November 4th through November 10th and school will be ending at 12:30pm on these days.
Secondly, if you are Rainbow of the quarter, stop by and take a picture in front of the WE>Me wall 11/2-11/13 from 2:00-4:00pm. Send your picture to our social media account (email@example.com) to be included in our slide show. Don’t forget to pick up your special gift when you take your picture.
Thirdly, classroom supply pick for Grades 1 thru 6, and Mrs. Kochi’s Kindergarten class. Pick up will be on this Friday, November 6th from 1:00pm-5:00 pm and on Saturday, November 7th from 8:00am - noon.
Finally, you are welcomed to participate in our school-wide Food Drive. Please bring your non-perishable goods during supply pick up. See our Food Drive news article on our website for more information.
Are you wondering what 2nd Semester is going to look and feel like at Kanoelani? Please join Principal Kunihisa on one of four Coffee Hour sessions: November 12 and 18 at 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Click here to view the flyer and to RSVP for the virtual session links.
The Hawaii State Department of Education received an extension of the National School Lunch Seamless Summer Option Program through December 2020. Therefore, for the second quarter or until funding runs out, all Kanoelani families (and families statewide) can pick up FREE meals daily for each school-aged student (Pre-School to 12th grade). Please show the flyer that was sent home (orange paper) at October 2 and 3 Student Pick-up OR click on the flyer attached to this news article to show Waikele staff that you have a student(s) enrolled at our school.
If you prefer the convenience, you can still pick up meals at Kanoelani. Please know clearly that if you choose to pick up meals at Kanoelani, you will still have to pay for your meals based on your meal status. For those who are receiving free or reduced lunch, you can pick up your meal(s) free or reduced lunch at Kanoelani.
