Good evening Kanoelani families and this is Vice-Principal Tominaga. I am hoping everyone had a restful Labor Day weekend.
We are having a second wave of classroom supply pick up. Since we have extended the Learn from Home phase until October 2nd, we need all families to pick up classroom materials and supplies. We are having two pick-up dates, which will be Friday, Sept. 11th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and Saturday, September 12th from 8:00 am - Noon. Please drive up to the cafeteria and a staff member will pass you the items. To help make the pick-up process go smoothly, please make a sign with your child's name, grade, and teacher's name. Put on your car’s dashboard on pick-up day. Any questions or concerns about pick up, please contact your classroom teacher. Families, we thank you in advance for picking up supplies and we do need everyone to come to pick-up supplies.
The last message is about our milk we serve at lunch and breakfast. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any milk with breakfast and lunch as of tomorrow. There is a statewide shortage of the type of milk we serve. However, we will continue to serve our regular breakfast and lunch meals as planned, but without the milk. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and the issue is being addressed by the Department of Education School Food Service department.
Thank you families for our cooperation and please continue to practice unity, patience, and serenity as we continue the Learning from Home phase for the first quarter.
Please come to one of the pick-up dates below to get classroom materials to continue distance learning at home for quarter one.

Hello Kanoelani Families, this is Vice Principal Neil Blomberg
Many of you may have heard today’s announcements from government officials about a two-week stay at home order that starts on Thursday, August 27 for the island of Oahu. Please know that public schools like Kanoelani Elementary are exempt from this stay at home order. This means that our campus will continue to remain open and we will provide the same services for our students.
Please continue to check our school website, which has been updated, and your child’s seesaw account daily. This will help us communicate with families as effectively as possible.
Please continue to stay safe in our community during these challenging times, and join us in practicing Unity, Patience, and Serenity as a Kanoelani community. If you have any questions or concerns, please call your teacher and the main office at 307-3800.
Good Afternoon Kanoelani Families. This is Vice-Principal Tominaga and I want to welcome everyone to a new school year! Thank you families for picking up school materials yesterday and today. If you still need to pick up school materials, please call the teacher or the office at 307-3800. Reminder to log in with your classmates this afternoon beginning at 12:30 to practice with your teacher for tomorrow morning. Please see our website for the schedule.
Tomorrow at 8:00 am is the first full day of school. Teachers will be taking daily attendance. Your child will be marked absent if they do not join a virtual class meeting or complete the teacher check-in process. If you are having technical difficulties logging into a virtual classroom, please immediately notify the teacher via Seesaw app, email, or phone call to the office.
